Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Awards The Borderplex Alliance

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce named The Borderplex Alliance nonprofit of the year. The Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce selected The Borderplex Alliance to honor their regional advocacy and economic development efforts.

Curtis "C.R." Rosemond, President and CEO of The Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce presented the award saying, "The Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is grateful for the outstanding work of Jon Barela and his team at the Borderplex Alliance. The Borderplex Alliance has been a stalwart advocate for our region and a driving force in economic development. Because of their work El Paso, Las Cruces, and Cd. Juárez are working closer together than ever before for the benefit of all in our region." 

Borderplex Alliance CEO, Jon Barela accepted the award saying, "We're honored to receive this award and thankful for the support of The Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Their organization has been a great partner to work with in creating jobs and economic growth in our region. Last year was a banner year for our organization and we are looking forward to doing great things together in 2018." 

The Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has proudly served the Las Cruces and Doña Ana community for over twenty years. They provide leadership for the advancement of economic prosperity for the region and their diverse membership.

The Borderplex Alliance provides regional, national, and international development, advocacy, representation, and support to businesses looking to expand their operations within the Borderplex region. The organization also serves as an advocate for the region in state and national capitals, promoting the economic prosperity of the region and the strength of the U.S.-Mexico relationship.
